Before the brief, the map. The areas your life and work split into, one folder each, what you already have filed into them by Claude, and one picked to start with.

Now think about yours
Now think about what this could look like for you, with your own areas set up side by side.
Maybe you have a personal brand, and that is a whole aspect of your life, the videos, the posts, the list.
Maybe you run a consultancy, and that is another, the clients, the proposals, the invoices.
Maybe there is a course you are writing, a business you are building on the side, the house and the holidays, and each of those is an area too.
Then have Claude make the folders.
With your ecosystem folder open in VS Code, start a chat and paste this in with your list where the capitals are.
Make my folders
Inside my ecosystem folder, make a folder for each of these areas of my life and work, named in one or two plain lowercase words:
[YOUR AREAS, ONE PER LINE, WITH ANY SUBSECTIONS UNDER THE AREA THEY BELONG TO]
Where I have given you subsections under an area, make those as folders inside it. Put one file in each folder called CLAUDE.md with a single line saying what the folder is for, and nothing else, because we write the real one later. Tell me when it is done.
Watching it make them is the first time the ecosystem looks like something.
Here is mine, filled in, so you can see the shape.
Mine, as an example
Inside my ecosystem folder, make a folder for each of these areas of my life and work, named in one or two plain lowercase words:
life
personal-brand, with instagram, linkedin, newsletter and website inside it
consultancy, with clients, proposals and invoices inside it
Where I have given you subsections under an area, make those as folders inside it. Put one file in each folder called CLAUDE.md with a single line saying what the folder is for, and nothing else, because we write the real one later. Tell me when it is done.
You can have as many folders as you like, and for now expect them all to be empty.
Each one gets a one-line CLAUDE.md saying what it is for, which is the seed of the brief stage four writes.
If you are stuck on what the areas are, have it interview you instead.
The prompt below asks about a normal week, one question at a time, names the areas from what you say, and makes the folders itself.
Map my ecosystem for me
I am setting up my ecosystem, one folder per area of my life and work, inside this folder, and I am not sure what the areas are.
Interview me one question at a time about a normal working week. What I do, who I do it for, and what keeps coming round. Do not guess, do not fill the gaps in for me, and do not write anything yet. Keep going until you can name the areas my work splits into.
When you have them, show me the list, three to six areas at most, each with one line on what would live in it, and ask me which one we start with. If I only want one for now, that is fine.
Then make a folder for each area I confirm, inside this folder, named in one or two plain lowercase words. Put one file in each called CLAUDE.md with a single line saying what the folder is for, and nothing else, because we write the real one later. Tell me when it is done and which folder we are starting with.
Nothing here is permanent.
You can rename an area, merge two, or split one as you go, and it will move the files for you, so the first map only has to be roughly right.
